Key Announcements from Microsoft Inspire

Here's our round-up of the key highlights and announcements from Microsoft Inspire.

There was a huge focus on bringing the opportunities on AI into the workplace, with Microsoft sharing more plans on how it can help offer secure, compliant and responsible AI capabilities.

Bing Chat Enterprise

Expanding on the new Bing that was launched earlier this year, Bing Chat Enterprise gives AI-powered chat but with commercial data protection – so anything shared through Bing Chat Enterprise remains protected and doesn’t leave your organisation. This is rolling out in Preview now and at no additional cost to Microsoft 365 Business Standard, Business Premium, E3 & E5 customers – we’d recommend trying it if you have the licensing to.

Microsoft 365 Copilot Pricing Released

M365 Copilot delivers advanced and secure AI tools to help productivity in work – allowing you to use natural language to get AI support on tasks. It looks incredibly powerful for saving staff valuable time and improving busy working lives and will be a major focus of Microsoft over the next few years. This week we found out that it will cost $30 per user per month for those on Microsoft 365 BP, E3 & E5 (UK pricing hasn’t been revealed). It’s currently in private preview and general availability is still unknown.

Microsoft Sales Copilot

Previously known as Viva Sales, this AI tool is designed to help salespeople with task automation across their most popular apps, such as Outlook, Teams, Dynamics 365 and also third party CRMs. It is generally available today.

Copilot Expansion

As well as Microsoft 365 Copilot and Dynamics 365 Copilot, Microsoft are rapidly expanding their Copilot AI capabilities, which will also be available in Teams Phone, Teams chat and Viva.

Microsoft 365 Backup and Microsoft 365 Archive

Announced this week, M365 Backup offers a scalable and secure native backup solution for M365 content across SharePoint, OneDrive and Exchange, while M365 Archive provides a cold data storage tier to keep inactive/ageing SharePoint data at a low cost.
