Corporate Social Responsibility
Giving back to our local community has always been important to us at Chorus. Every year we support a nominated charity of the year – as voted for by our people. Throughout the year, we fundraise and volunteer for our chosen charity, driven by our Charity Committee.
Throughout the years we have enjoyed a variety of fundraisers, such as Dragon Boat racing, skydiving, Taskmaster, raffles, Three Peaks, Online Gaming marathons and cake sales! Not only raising vital funds for charity, but also creating great social and teambuilding events for employees, friends and family.
Our charity of the year for 2024 is Prostate Cancer UK.
ED&I
Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
We are strongly committed to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion within Chorus. Having an inclusive workplace is a key focus for us, as we want our people to be able to be their true selves at work and confident that they will be supported and valued. Our ED&I objectives are promoted by our leadership team and driven by our internal ED&I committee to ensure we make positive and meaningful change – within Chorus, as well as promoting wider change in the industry.
Wellbeing & Mental Health
We place a great importance on our people’s mental health and wellbeing. As a result, we are proud to have lots of initiatives in place to support staff wellbeing, such as trained mental health first aiders, weekly yoga and meditation, wellbeing perks and benefits (such as free counselling, online GP sessions and more).
We’re proud to have received Gold in the 2024 Mind’s Workplace Wellbeing Index.
Environment & Sustainability
As well as building a positive internal culture, we want to make sure that we have a positive impact on the planet, which is why we have partnered with Ecologi. We plant trees for every sale we make and the celebrate employee milestones, such as birthdays and anniversaries.
Alongside this, we’re making small but impactful changes – such as installing electric vehicle charging stations and making our office greener with better recycling and installing energy efficient lighting. There will always be more to do, so we continually review what we can do to make a better impact on the environment and track this annually as part of our targets.
